S24 Ultra doesn't wake up the screen when getting a whatsapp text

I recently migrated from Xiaomi to Samsung. I've had a few problems, but none of them were as big as this one: My phone's screen doesn't turn on when I receive a WhatsApp message.

Since I depend on these messages for a lot of things and my phone is always on silent, if there's no way to turn on the screen when I receive a WhatsApp message, I'll have to abandon my phone.

I've tried activating Always On Display, but I end up only having a tiny icon when a notification arrives. I need the detailed pop-up, just like it appears on iPhones and all other phones.

Can someone help me? Thanks

If you go to settings > notifications > notifications pop-up style > is it set to brief and "show even while screen is off" turned on? 1742415125723.jpg

Hello 👋 @renancuteco

I have mine set like these >

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Hi @renancuteco and warm welcome 👋

Try settings > wallpapers and style > tap on wallpaper > press on notifications icons shown in picture attached > choose details.

Also try go to whatsapp settings > notifications > make sure high priority notifications are turned on1742411913275.jpg1742411913304.jpg

Hello, @lminvti ! Thank you for your response!

I've done these before, but doesn't seen to help. If I manually wake up the display, I can see everything that I want. The point is that the phone only vibrates when I get a whatsapp message and I need it to light up so I can view who is texting me and if its urgent.

Thank you, @lminvti ! Now the brief notification appears when the screen is off!

This isn't how I wanted, as I cannot see everything on this brief notification, but at least is something. There is any way that I can make these larger or more detailed? Thank you again!

It will show you a brief message as selected option mentions, you can also try go to settings > apps > 3 vertical dots at the top > special access > full screen alerts > scroll down till you see whatsapp and toggle it on 1742415734578.jpg1742415734596.jpg

So now it's sorted but not showing more details or information as you wanted if I understood correctly? As it won't show full content it should light up screen while received a WhatsApp message and brief message should appear and after you unlock your screen you can view full content of the message and reply.
