I recently migrated from Xiaomi to Samsung. I've had a few problems, but none of them were as big as this one: My phone's screen doesn't turn on when I receive a WhatsApp message.
Since I depend on these messages for a lot of things and my phone is always on silent, if there's no way to turn on the screen when I receive a WhatsApp message, I'll have to abandon my phone.
I've tried activating Always On Display, but I end up only having a tiny icon when a notification arrives. I need the detailed pop-up, just like it appears on iPhones and all other phones.
Can someone help me? Thanks

That sounds frustrating! Have you tried going to Settings > Notifications > Advanced settings and enabling "Brief pop-up settings"? Also, in WhatsApp settings, check Notifications > Pop-up notification and set it to "Always show". Hope this helps!

I comepletely agree, I dont understand why it cant show like pixel as pixel is more consistant in notifications appearing and lighting screen. anyhow android is messed up, does not do basic things right.
