Hey folks - a question

Is there a way in either Google Messages App or Samsung Messages App to stop outbound MMS messages from being sent either at all or with a warning / confirmation pop up appearing first?

A search has proved fruitless so far. I refuse to use RCS so the settings in there don't help.

Ta everyone

Hi not sure if this is what you are looking for

It's under message settings> chat settings

Yes, found that. But in changing that setting it doesn't stop MMS or place a pop up asking the sender to confirm first....

Turn chat off then. I believe that's the rcs version for Samsung messages

So as far as I know only pictures go as mms, text will go as text unless its fancy text.

I'm looking to find a way to stop MMS being sent accidentally.

I can use spend cap as a brute force way but there should be an option at either device or network level to stop these going out without a ⚠️ coming up first.

I belive they removed the feature.
It's only if mms doesn't go through it will revert to sms.
So you are stuck on your brute force method
