Hi , does anyone know of an app or a way to hide the details in the pop up at the top of the screen, I need the pop up still to happen because android auto relies on it to send notifications in the car but I'd like the details hiding , someone suggested a routine but that unfortunately stops the pop up which I still need ! Thanks

@Edgie70, if you follow the steps in my message above, your notification details will be hidden when on the lock screen and will only be visible to read when the device is unlocked. It will still pop up, but instead of showing details, it will just say messages. This will only work when the phone is locked, though.

Unfortunately, that is not an available option currently from my understanding. You could potentially use a third-party app to alter notifications, but I wouldn't recommend doing so.

If only I knew of such an app lol my OnePlus had this option using Google messages, shame it's not in the Samsung phone settings, it is a privacy issue

Samsung uses Google Messages as its primary application. As for a privacy issue, most would assume that when the phone has been unlocked, the primary user would be the one who has unlocked it. Also, if the phone was locked during a journey, Android Auto should still receive a ping from the notification pop-up without any details being displayed.

Well if I unlock my phone and I'm showing someone something for example a picture or a video and I get a text then it's a privacy issue because the person who I'm showing the picture or video to can see the sender and start of the message, also in android auto the pop up occurs with the senders name but no message preview , turn off pop up in phone and it stops pop up in AA
