Hi all. I purchased my S24 from very.co.uk I filled in all the information the day after I received my phone from very (ie IMEI 1 number and proof of purchase). Samsung have emailed and said they have declined me the offer due to the fact that they can't confirm my purchase, even though I had sent them the VAT/Purchase receipt, order receipt from very.co.uk when placing the order. Can anyone help with this? Or has anyone had the same issue.

This is what I sent to claim my Chromebook, along with a snapshot of the IMEI number from the Galaxy S24. I also sent a snapshot of the order from very.co.uk. This was all done the day after I received the Galaxy S24 (10th September 2024) but as I've mentioned samsungoffers.claims have said they cannot verify this purchase hence I don't qualify for the promotion and free Chromebook. This is so frustrating, as we know that we 100% are entitled to this free Chromebook but samsungoffers.claims say that we don't.

MOD edit: Removed your image, as this has personal details within.

I'm also not getting any responses or replies from the promotion team now. It's like they don't give a hoot about this and have wiped there hands clean of this. Any suggestions of what or where I can go next with this??? I'm in 2 minds to seek legal advice and take legal action towards samsung as I've did everything correctly on my end, but for some apparent reason samsung are saying other. Any help with this would be appreciated and again samsungoffers.claims are no longer replying to my emails or messages with regards to this issue. Thanks

@jonnybee70: Having checked your proof of purchase, everything seems to be in place, as it contains all the relevant information to verify the purchase. Very are a participating retailer in the promotion, and you have submitted the claim within the 30 day period following the purchase date, so I'm struggling to understand why your claim might have been rejected.

It is not possible for me to escalate your query from this position, however I do think that it is important to get further clarity from the Promotions Team about why precisely your claim has been denied. If you send an email to help@tradeinresponse.co.uk (an include details of your query) then an advisor will be able to look into this further for you.

Good evening AndrewL,

First of all thank you for the speedy replies and help. I've just managed to email help@tradeinresponse.co.uk to see if they can help. The email I sent was as follows:

***************To whom it may concern,

I have been given your email address from a Samsung moderator (community.samsung.com), to see if you can look into this issue for me as it seems like I'm bashing my head against a brick wall and still getting nowhere with regards to trying to get what I feel 100% positive that I'm entitled to the FREE Chromebook that the Galaxy S24 purchased from very.co.uk showed as a promotion. The promotion had said all I had to do was to show valid proof that the item I purchased was part of the fore-mentioned promotion. Which again the Galaxy S24 was and so was very.co.uk where this was purchased from. I sent proof of purchase (Invoice/VAT Receipt) which had the Very logo at the top of the letter head, this also had ALL the required information that the promotion required i.e. Date of purchase, Description of item (Samsung Galaxy S24), and also the price that I paid for this £799. I also sent the promotion team (samsungoffers.claims) the official order that was placed from very.co.uk just to be on the safe side, as this was also confirmation. The promotion also asked me to take a snapshot of the IMEI Number from the actual phone (Samsung Galaxy S24), which again I did and provided this. I sent everything that was required for the FREE Chromebook and this was all sent the day after I received the Samsung Galaxy S24 (everything was sent on the 10th September 2024. Nine days after submitting everything I received an email from samsungoffers.claims saying ["We have some bad news" Hi, Unfortunately, it appears you're not eligible to take part in the Samsung Super September - GB promotion. This is for the following reason:
This purchase could not be verified]. I will send you everything that I sent to samsungoffers.claims to claim my FREE Chromebook, along with the reference number when submitting my claim.

I have sent on a numerous ammount of times the same proof but still got a reply saying I did not qualify. samsungoffers.claims are now NOT returning any of my emails, it is like they have wiped their hands clean of this and don't give 2 hoots about this. The whole reason I purchased the Samsung Galaxy S24 was for the FREE Chromebook. The Phone and Chromebook was meant a s birthday and Xmas presents for our Autistic Son who also has Globel Development Delay, he has just started collage which was a massive goal for him and the Chromebook would have been a massive help at collage for him.

Again, I don't know where to go next with this other than if your department cannot help or look into this very serious issue, then the next steps is seeking legal advice and then taking legal action towards Samsung (samsungoffers.claims) to be more precise. I will Insert ALL proof of purchase and everything else that was required from this so-called promotion. NOT happy with this hole situation, please help or better still, get this sorted and please send out what I 100% know of that I'm entitled to this FREE Chromebook.

I look forward to your reply regarding this issue as soon as possible.

Kind regards.************************

Hope this email gets to the right person and hopfully this will be sorted soon, failing this will leave me with no other option than to seek legal action, as I feel like our Son has been robbed of a Chromebook. I update this if I hear anything back. Again thanks for all the help, along with everyone else who left a message. If you or anyone else have any other suggestions, please feel free to help. Again thank you all.

Hello Samantha,

Thank you for your email.

Please be advised that we are a third party trade in centre, NOT Samsung.

We would advise contacting the retailer you purchased from to resolve this.

Sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Kind regards,

Samsung Trade in team

***********************************************************************************************

So it looks like I'm back to the beginning again with this. Any suggestion???

Thanks

John.

The Trade-In team are for trade-in devices following a purchase, so we understand why they have been unable to help with this. The only contact details available for the Promotion team are found over on the claim page > Support > Get in touch, as linked further in this thread.  That is the only point of contact for them. As explained, you would need to continue speaking with the Promotions team for further details on you claim, as they are the only department who can assist with this.

I am unsure if very.com is part of their supplier list. As they have approved mine from a purchase from Vodafone

Yes very.co.uk was part of their list, hence why we went ahead and purchased this from very.co.uk and as I reply to your post we haven't had the Chromebook nor has very.co.uk or samsung replied to any of our emails regarding this promotion. We've just put this down to one big learning curb, and in future will NOT get any other electronics from Samsung. The ripping scamming bast**ds......
