I know there are other threads like this.

I'll give up after this.

Screenshot by swiping hand across doesn't work. I have tried disabling and enabling the feature. I have made sure special access to Samsung Capture is enabled. I have asked technical support.

I know there are other ways to do a screenshot. I want to use the feature as advertised. It works for some but not others.

Is there a real solution, yes or no?

Hello. Can I ask you to explain how you are using the palm capture feature? And if it had worked previously on this device? I am asking so that I do not repeat the previous advices you have come across.

Hi,  yes I'm using it as shown in the Samsung videos. And yes, I think it did work once - when I first tried it on the day I got the phone. It hasn't worked since and I haven't deleted any system files or done anything crazy with the phone.  🤷‍♂️

Thank you for that. This is not the easiest to trouble shoot over the internet. Please have a look at this video to see if it helps! https://youtu.be/JEnmB0nGXWY?si=UhbHK1DQ7xqlolK6 . Please update. Thank you.

Hi, I'm way past this Batsy. The motions and gestures palm swipe to capture has been switched on and off, in normal and safe mode a number of times.

The palm swipe doesn't work. Bruce Lee would be proud of my Samsung taught palm swipe technique. It doesn't work 🤷‍♂️

That is very frustrating. In that case, my only suggestion at the moment is to go to the Support tab in the Members app > Feedback and submit feedback regarding this. I hope they fix this in the next update. Good luck.

@mikef68  Assuming you are doing the palm swipe correctly could also try clearing the cache partition as some temporary cache  files can become corrupted, though not the most obvious function to be effected.

1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer , other Device or TV USB, Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Whilst can be a bit of a hassle as a last resort may wish to consider a Factory Reset  (imperative you back up Data before doing so obviously).

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Well I've already been through technical support and they couldn't help but I'll try again. The conclusion I'm coming to is that they don't know why it doesn't work for a lot of people.

Also, I think it strange that doesn't seem to be a Samsung techie representative person who monitors the boards?

Thanks anyway for your suggestions 👍
