FAULTY MICROPHONE

The microphone on my phone does not work properly, I can't use the audio recorder,I can't make clear calls,not even a clear WhatsApp voice note,I can only make a call with an earpiece, else the person receiving the call on the other side cannot hear me,please help

Forgive the potentially stupid remark on my part, is it possible there's a clear strip of plastic covering that opening?  

A few years ago I bought my wife a new Samsung phone and I forgot to remove the plastic covering over the camera lenses.  Her photos came out blurry and I naturally assumed the worst.  

Just a thought.

@Jerry4uche2008 run the diagnostic tool in your Samsung Members App to see if that highlights anything. 

If so then ask a Samsung Service Centre to take a look.
