This may be more of a venting post, but with a supposed flagship phone I didn't think I'd run into so many issues when it came to recording audio.
Because of the lack of an audio jack, I'm forced to use a dongle to connect headphones, which automatically routes both audio and the microphone through the usb-c and there's
NO OPTION TO CHANGE THAT.
Then I'll try to record with my interface, but the audio only plays back in the right ear, with yet again, no option to configure this.
As of this android version, they've removed the ability to use software to manually change to the internal microphone, so you are left with no options other than to use a computer to record and edit yoir videos, nullifying the capabilities of the phone. This was not an issue on much older samsung phones.
The message is fairly clear, if you wish to record/remix/collaborate with others, then the iphone is your better option. Very disappointing in a phone that cost over £1000 on release.

So you found all this when? After you got the phone? surely not. When spending loadsamoney people usually research well in advance. Those then don't vent

I can see in very internet fashion you came to not add any value to the topic but rather to be an annoyance.
Would you believe that features accessible on samsung phones from years ago would then be removed for no apparent reason on their new flagship models? Perhaps a reasonable person wouldn't think so.
If you'd like to use this opportunity to let put some emotions then by all means go for it, but at least recognise that's what you're doing, the same as me, but I've a very expensive and not fit for common use phone.

I suppose I'm just missing my headphone jack era. I'm trying to remix a video on instagram to add music to other musician's videos and there is a delay already that has to be adjusted without wireless headphones.
It may well be user ignorance, I'm not the savviest of phone users.

You're right, I have let my feelings write for this post and it's not mature. I'm sorry for targetting you as well.
It's barely something to be getting upset over, though I've been in a cycle of giving up for over year when trying to do musical projects on this phone. Maybe this is the lesson I've to learn.

I am once again in disbelief! In the latest update they've now removed the option to change mic mode from the UI menu!
What is the reason for this war on sound???
