Hello all

Had this phone for a couple or so weeks, and whilst the basic battery protection worked at first, it has now stropped. I get to 100% and it doesn't drop or have the "phone has stopped charging to protect the battery" msg?

Anyone else had this and found a solution? Apologies if this has already been posted but can't find one if it has

Cheers

Hello @RichBenham  👋

If turning the phone Off and On i.e a soft reboot does not help then......

You could try turningbthe battery protection Off and then Clear the phone's System Partition Section >

  • Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }

And then turn the feature back on.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Exactly followed those steps. Still charging when at 100%. Battery protection not working on S25 Ultra.

I have the same problem. I ended by switching to Maximum mode and limiting to 90% the battery protection

I had the same problem, but a soft reset did the job. Also i turned off the basic battery protection before it. (S25)
