I always thought what the future of samung will be like, such as the 100x zoom being like 150x or even 200x at one point. I often use night mode a lot on my s23 ultra and of course it takes like 9 seconds in dark to get the photo in full bright (30 seconds if held still) and every time I use dark mode I always think "Wow the technology built into this dark mode is crazy but imagine one day in the future where it wouldn't need any processing power that would take 9 seconds or even 30) I can 100% see samsung using less time to process a complete dark room into full bright without any processing. Okay maybe we need a lot of processing time for it but it would be cool to see if one day to get a full dark room in full bright under 5 seconds. I always think about foldables and flip phones but other companies are experimenting with rollable phones where the phone rolls into a one big screen. Imagine a phone with a 400mp camera with 200x zoom and all that good stuff that I mentioned earlier. If we ever get to that stage in the next 10 years or so. I can only imagine the price being above £2000. I always wanted to ask people if you ever wanted to put something into a phone that doesn't exist yet what would that be?
For me probably double the zoom even though its already amazing in the ultra. The complete abolishment of exynos chips, micro LED display and a new battery tech which gives you even more battery and reduces battery aging.
I would be happy with a bump in resolution for the 10x camera, maybe alongside an increase in the sensor size if possible, something to help bring more light into the photos. Same goes for 3x. I think a 5x would be a better fit if they continue to increase the MP count on their main sensor since you can basically just crop into a high res photo from the main sensor to the same zoom level right now. Don't need any increase from 100x zoom until quality increases dramatically. Don't care if future has an Exynos or a Snapdragon as long as it's market leading in performance and efficiency. Samsung has to really nail it this time around with its Exynos chip or people will lose faith for good so I wish them the best of luck as rumours suggest it's coming back next year. Increase in battery size since 5000mAh is quite common across Samsungs range. QD-OLED panels on smartphones would be very nice, should be more efficient too. Since Samsung makes QD-OLED panels for it's TV's i'm sure it will eventually happen, as long as the panels can be scaled down that is, though that's perhaps a while away from becoming a reality since it's new technology. A near bezelless display but retaining the hole punch camera as I don't hold much faith with under screen cameras becoming as good as normal ones. Happy for phone to get a little thicker and heavier to accommodate new tech if needs be. Design is nice currently and can stay as similar as it is now if it helps Samsung concentrate on more important areas of the phone.
I think expandability and upgradability without having to change phone maybe hdmi connector. When processing power is fast enough and internal storage is more durable I would Envisage a phone that could replace a laptop and your main pc or work pc would just be a docking station e.g just plug in the phone and away you go and when you've done, unplug it and away you go. With the right ingenuity the phone could wipe out PCs and most other IT devices as you would only need display panels rather than tablets, TVs, pcs, laptops etc? Probably a while to reach the necessary miniturised processing power but we may be closer than you think 😉
