Samsung Galaxy S23 - EUX CSC - No firmware updates since May 2023

Hi all

I changed my CSC over to EUX and downloaded the latest firmware from sammobile in May. They oddly have the outdated May update as their last update available on their website. Since then there have been 3 updates released by Samsung (https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-S911B/EUX/doc.html) and every time I manually check for updates on my phone it says my software is up to date. I've tried safe mode and using the samsung windows desktop application - both which say my software is up to date.

Anyone come across this issue/behaviour before? How do I go about getting the latest August update to roll through to my phone? Stuck on May and bit concerned with not receiving the latest security these patches they provide in the update.

Can you post a link to that firmware page and let us know the build number and Service Provider Software version of your phone?

Hi You need to change your CSC to BTB and you should be good to go.

Will this show as BTB instead of EUX from now on (if I change it)

Also what makes you so confident about advising me this?

Yes, it will.
Basically the build version only covers certain countries. BTB is supported with that build on your phone.
Please don't apologise for asking questions, that's the best way to learn.

Do you know why I can't get regular updates on EUX even though they have been released by Samsung?

If it shows EVR is your software, that is EE UK region so you'll be restricted to software when they release it. My sim free S23 shows software as EUX/-/EUX/EUX.

On my S21, I had VGR at the very end (greece I think) and I change the CSC to BTU (this CSC at the time was issued when buying direct from samsung store online - UK). Once I changed to BTU, I was able to receive all the monthly updates that have been issued.

Also the very last code is unchangeable and is fixed to the first network that issues the phone. But you're free to change the CSC and this will actually change the CSC to whatever you want, but will always keep the last CSC fixed.

Now having changed to EUX (as that's what's issued when you buy direct from samsung UK store) it just says my software is up-to-date. Strange! Doesn't make any sense. I'd love to see the API request to samsung servers to see what http code is being returned back when I try to manually update.

Hi just a thought, can you try changing the CSC without the sim being in the phone, that way maybe it would register as an unlocked version without the EVR attached.
Just a thought.
