Samsung Galaxy S23 - EUX CSC - No firmware updates since May 2023

Hi all

I changed my CSC over to EUX and downloaded the latest firmware from sammobile in May. They oddly have the outdated May update as their last update available on their website. Since then there have been 3 updates released by Samsung (https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-S911B/EUX/doc.html) and every time I manually check for updates on my phone it says my software is up to date. I've tried safe mode and using the samsung windows desktop application - both which say my software is up to date.

Anyone come across this issue/behaviour before? How do I go about getting the latest August update to roll through to my phone? Stuck on May and bit concerned with not receiving the latest security these patches they provide in the update.

If you search that build number on Sammobile you get BTB as the CSC https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s23/firmware/SM-S911B/BTB/download/S911BXXU3AWGJ/1774301/

This is the firmware for phones directly purchased from Samsung.

The CSC bought directly from Samsung is EUX. Sammobile is heavily out of date with EUX, so if you look here (up to date: https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-S911B/EUX/doc.html   https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-S911B/BTB/doc.html)
it shows that S911BXXU3AWGJ is the latest build on EUX and BTB too :smiling-face:

Seems there are variations for the S23, see Solved: S23 model not from UK - Samsung Community

Also can you got to Settings, about phone, Status information and confirm the Model Code

UPDATE: There is no XEU firmware for S911BXXS1AWD1 on Samsung's server, I think Sammobile are incorrect. The Frija tool confirmed this. So, I think you need to change your CSC

Model code: SM-S911BZKGEUX

If you use this which contacts the Samsung FUS it will show you the latest version of EUX is indeed S911BXXU3AWGJ. You wrote XEU above, I'm not sure what this one is? Did you mean EUX? There's no firmware for XEU.

Sorry was a typo. Trying to do this in between working. Frija does not find any fw for EUX CSC. As Frija accesses Samsung servers, I have more confidence in Frija than any other source.

Odd, seems like my tool (the one I linked above) and the build information on samsungs website (https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-S911B/EUX/doc.html) correlate perfectly with each other (see build information in the screenshot below). Maybe Frija is out of date? N.B The tool I linked too (first screenshot) also calls the Samsungs FUS too.

Well anyway, I'm still unable to download the latest firmware for EUX since May 😞 Anyone got any other ideas?

Samloader gives this result

Checking firmware for SM-S911B/EUX/S911BXXU1AWA6/S911BOXM1AWA6/S911BXXU1AWA6/S911BXXU1AWA6
Error: Could not send BinaryInform. Status code 200/400
Request was invalid. Are you sure the input data is correct?
Could not fetch info for SM-S911B/EUX. Please verify the input or use manual info

I'm sure the BTB CSC is the way to restore updates to your phone.

S911BXXU1AWA6/S911BOXM1AWA6/S911BXXU1AWA6/S911BXXU1AWA6 is the very first version released in Jan. I don't think you can download past updates - which is probably what your error shows? Not sure.

Have a look at Download Galaxy S23 SM-S911B (EVR) S911BXXU3AWGJ in Samfw - Samsung firmware download

then check the available CSCs, No XEU

I think Samfirm tool is broken.

To summarise, 2 Server tools show no EUX support as do several sites, so I'm going to stick with my original suggestion.

As for complaints about my tool, we won't go there!!:)
