Hello,

My S23 Ultra was working perfectly and was charging overnight but must have crashed.  Won't turn on.  Tried the common solutions, charging, letting it sit, power button hold, power and volume, etc.  NO signs of life at all.

No changes to use or connection.  Help!

Hello there, @BRS145. I appreciate your eagerness to get your S23 Ultra powering on as normal. While I understand that you've already followed some steps already, have you verified that the power adapter and cable themselves are working as expected?

I ask that, as it's possible that your phone didn't charge up when you thought it was charging - perhaps because of an unknown issue with the adapter and/or cable.

I'd recommend checking this first by trying to wirelessly charge your phone (if possible), testing the cable and adapter with another device (again, if possible), and also seeing if another compatible adapter and cable can charge up your phone.

Additionally, I think the following guide will help:

Tried multiple samsung chargers included wired and the wireless samsung charger.

The weird thing is that it had a ton of battery when it "crashed"

I have also checked the charging port and it appears undamaged.  I can't get it to show ANY signs of life let alone turn on so the article provided is not helpful.  Thank you.

That's very strange indeed, so I'd recommend reaching out to one of our Support Teams to arrange an inspection and repair, or arrange one via the self-service portal. I've provided the links below:

https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/contact/

and

Please update the thread and let us know when you get to the bottom of this, and keep us updated when your phone is working as expected again.

I am not in the UK. I tried the Canadian site and I am under warranty for another 3 weeks but it won't let me book a repair. This is ridiculous.

The same thing happened to me on my standard S23. I had 40% battery when I went to bed, and woke up to 2%. As I went to charge, it died and was unresponsive. I tried 20 different chargers and brought it to several repair shops. I was about to give up when it just started working on my car wireless charging pad. Super weird, but it seems to be functoning normally now!

I just sent an email. My s23 ultra has 87% power. I tried to open the phone and there is an Audible click and the phone just shuts down.
I am disabled and rely on my phone for many thing particularly monitoring the times for my wife's cancer medication.
How do I resolve this issue.
I am typing this on my Samsung galaxy tab s9 ultra and do not want this fault repeated on my tab.

@PoppaB: What method are you using to unlock your Galaxy S23 Ultra e.g. PIN, Password, Biometrics? When you hear the click, is the phone shutting down completely, or entering an idle state? To test this, try tapping the Side button to see if the Lock screen wallpaper is visible. If it is powering off completely then, next time you reach the Lock screen, please try pressing the Volume Down and Power buttons together for around 10 seconds until the phone restarts. This will perform a Soft Reset and resolve any temporary software issues which might be a contributing factor. Don't worry, this won't affect your personal data or settings.

If the problem is persistent, and you are unable to gain access to your phone, then I recommend heading to samsung.com > Scroll to the bottom of the screen > Contact us, and get in touch via you preferred contact method, where an advisor will be able to assist you further. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you.

press and hold power button and volume down button for 5 seconds, let go and quickly press UP volume - this made the phone came back to life
