I noticed my phone suddenly go from fast charging, could get a full battery in just over an hour, to taking 2 hours for 65%. I've tested both chargers on my partners phone (S21) they seem unaffected and charging normally. Saying 'fast charging' on screen with the slightly slower charger, and 'super fast charging' with our faster charger.
When I plug my phone into either the charge time is huge! I installed the latest software update at the weekend just before noticing this, so wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue.
I had not changed any settings, or even moved chargers to different wall sockets.
I have been into battery setting to toggle fast charging on/off but no difference.
Any help appreciated.

The charging hasn't changed on my phone after the updates but if a phone is misbehaving after an update then it's suggested to first try clearing the phone's System Partition Cache Files Section.

More here > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files. There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.

Please also do use a torch to look inside the charging port to ensjre there is is no debris inside.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

Mines gone exactly the same about a week ago after the update. Before my phone would fast charge in 1 hour 5 mins now it takes over 2 hours. Its not the 3 cables or 3 chargers I've got either as tested them in the wifes phone and all work perfectly. I've cleared the cache too that diddnt cure it either.

I have this now with 6.1 update. And not only that but also battery is being drained 2x faster than it used to..

This is my exact situation, @ikatar.

Updated to 6.1 a while ago, and now it takes hours to charge my standard S23.   There was another small software update today (April 11), but that didn't fix it.

I'm hoping Samsung is aware of this and working on a fix.

@ikatar  Update!

With the 6.1 upgrade, max battery protection was lowered from 85% to 80%.   So, I disabled battery protection.   It seems that Samsung no longer allows you to fast charge unless you have max battery protection enabled.   After I reenabled it, I'm back to fast charging.   If you're OK with a max 80% charge, then this should be all you need to do.

Now, I don't like the 80% limit, so I built a pair of routines thar disables battery protection once the battery hits 80% and then reenables max battery protection at 85%.   It's working great now!    Let me know if it works for you, too!

Thanks but it doesn't work for me unfortunately. Still says fast charging for a moment and then switches back to slow. Currently wireless charging is faster than through 25w brick.

So I've received another minor update for 6.1 and now it's all back to normal again. Charging and discharging feels as it was before.

Same problem here. I'm charging right now at 32% with over 3 hours left.

I just waited for 2 weeks or so and it went away on its own. Very annoying but at least it didn't break on the hardware level. Probably the same applies to you
