S23 Ultra battery drain and crashing

I have an S23 Ultra phone that I bought 1~ year ago, and recently it has started showing really fast battery drain where it will only last 4 hours or less

When I use an app (like X or TikTok), sometimes the phone will slow down greatly and end up crashing/shutting down, when I try to power it on it will show that I need to charge the phone because it is at 0% (even if it crashes at higher, like for example at 52%) - this would show when I plug the phone in, power on and check the battery information where it shows it stayed constant at 52% anyway

I have already gone through all of the troubleshooting steps and factory resetting my phone.

I'm asking this to know if this is just a battery problem or if it is due to anything else that is faulty?

Hi @Members_q2qDsQE  and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋

I'm sorry to hear your experiencing these issues with your phone 😔

Factory Reset of the phone is the ultimate troubleshooting step a person can take.which can usually clear up issues,  however I recommend not to use the back up when setting the phone back up just incase that reintroduced the issues back into the phone.

Safe Mode as a troubleshooting step too.

Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict. Alternatively long press the power off button and then long hold on Turn Off to get to Safe Mode.

There is a diagnostic tool 🔧 in your Samsung Members App to see if anything is highlighted.

You can also send feedback via your Samsung Members App for Samsung to analyse.

Ultimately a Samsung Service Centre or Samsung Experience Store can assess your phone.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

This is almost certainly a battery problem. When a battery starts to fail, it can cause inaccurate percentage readings, rapid discharge, and shutdowns even when it shows that there is charge left. Since you have already reset the phone and ruled out software issues, the battery probably needs to be replaced. If it is not the battery, it could be a hardware issue, such as the power management system, but this is less common.
