My S23U is heating and draining the battery after forcefully updating to One UI 7

Does anyone know how disable or revert this software abomination called One UI 7?

Not only it has a horrible UI design but has major performance/security issues, like heating and horrendously draining the battery even when it's idle with no heavy application running.

If this is not addressed ASAP I will have to sell it and buy from another brand (I'm taking suggestions, if anyone here already did that haha)

No the update cannot be reversed.
Have you tried wiping the Partition Cashe on the phone. This can help with some issues you have with the phone

Being it's a Samsung phone. You can adjust settings like the pull down menu and vertical app draw with in settings.

Don't forget Samsung Goodlock app is great to change and customise your phone to make it more personal

How do you wipe the partition cache? I tried pressing volume up and power (now Gemini, oh god) button while the phone is off, but it boots normally.

Turn off your phone.

Connect your phone with a USB cable

To PC or another Samsung mobile

You will see the charging icon on your screen.

Wait till it shows charging with battery percentage.

Next, press and hold the Volume up and Side key simultaneously.

You can press the volume up button just before the Side key.

The Samsung Logo followed by
Samsung Galaxy appears on the Screen.

At this point, release the keys

Phone will boot into Android Recovery mode

In Android recovery mode, using Volume keys, choose “Wipe Cache Partition” .

Use the power button to accept that.

You will then see its cleared.

Then the top option, reboot phone.

Press the power button to reboot the phone and then sign in normally

Hi @MatheusMPL  Welcome to the Samsung community :smiling-face:

A number of customisations can be made with Good lock  as mentioned  by @Glenntech although you may not be able to meet all your preferences.https://news.samsung.com/global/exploring-good-lock-%E2%91%A0-the-ultimate-personalization-tool-disc...

clearing  the cache partition after the update as recommended for major releases in any case.  possibly you are releasing the buttons too soon thoughcan be the odd glitch.

However with the new software there is a Battery learning phase again which can take up to 14 days so there may be an impact. you could reset the Battery stats, dial *#9900#  on the phone app with Auto Blocker off, look for Battery stats  Reset and restart Device.

whilst I have known this credits to @lminvti  ,@Moiramon  and @Piper123  who have mentioned this recently.  A similar thread here https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s23-series/s23u-battery-drain/m-p/12374203

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

What doesn't work?
The Partition Cashe wipe or the battery drain?

Make sure all the apps are updated including on the Galaxy Store

Check in settings and battery. To see if anything is using more than you think is necessary

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Forum

Firstly, search your question before posting the same question that has been answered many times already.

Second

Battery

Turn off Auto Blocker

Using the Samsung Phone App (not the Google one)

Dial *#9900# then scroll down to battery stats reset. Click then restart your phone.

Turn on Auto Blocker

If you follow the instructions precisely and the correct buttons
Including connecting with a cable to a computer port/another phone/TV etc
It should work
Only thing I've found is remove a phone case as some can inadvertently press the volume Down at the same time which would cause it not to work

Shouldn't take more than a minute or two
