Temperamental super fast charging?

Hi guys, just seeing if anyone else has had this issue and what solution they followed for it.

My fast charging had stopped working last week, so a full charge was starting to take almost 2 hours. I did some research online and cleaned the charging port with a small toothpick and a clean toothbrush. Also I bought the 25w Samsung charger along with a USB C to C lead (both from Samsung official website). Yesterday, super fast charging started to work and my phone charged really quickly. This morning, I put my phone on charge and it was super fast charging again just fine. I took it out the socket just for one minute, plugged it back in (battery was on 55% at this point), but fast charging all together stopped working and as I type this, it's just charging the slow rate.

Has this happened to anybody else? Any ideas why it's being temperamental? My phone is still under warranty, so I'm considering trying to get a replacement if the issue continues...open to suggestions firstly though!

Fast or super charging notice will only appear briefly. Look under settings/battery what is showing while charging

It just says "charging", plus it's going noticeably much slower...this is why I can tell it's definitely not fast charging right now

And fast charging is enabled under charge settings? Also try diagnostics via Samsung members app

Hi @rio93 and warm welcome 👋

Try clear USB cache.
Settings > apps > Press arrow icon in the corner > toggle show system apps press OK > search USBsettings > storage > clear cache.

Contact Samsung support via Members app and let them deal with it

I've had this issue almost two years now. There is no logic when it charges fast and when slow. I've used same Samsung 25W charger the whole time. Every charging has been the fast one when looking the notification when starting charging but still it actually charges randomly fast or slow. There is no difference if I start charging when I'm having 30% battery or 50%. Cache wiping does not affect.

It's so frustrating! Did you try to go to a Samsung store to get it repaired under warranty by any chance?
