S23 plus Running hot and battery drain after update

Since I update the software to version 6.0 three days ago, my battery is barely lasting a day and the phone is always warm to hot even when not using the phone.

Battery used to never get below 30% after a full day of use, now its 30% after 6 hours!

Same experience here. Feels like the latest update has caused something weird to happen.

Battery now lasting a lot longer without any additional update, phone still getting very warm, esp when using android auto, 4g phone signal and data downloads appear to have gotten worse since update too 😕

Same here! Phone is now working as normal, just suddenly...

I dont notice any more heat build up or any other problem. Did nothing else than erasing the cashe. But it took 2 more days after cashe delete before it was bavk to normal.

Did everything with no joy. Finally, Factory Reset calmed things down. Hopefully stays so

Latest update seems to have fixed mine luckily.

EDIT. Started getting really hot again and massive battery drain when just using waze and spotify. Even after force quiting everything stayed really hot!

I'm having the same issue, anyone know the fix for this?  I ran Malwarebytes, and no threats were detected. 

My phone gets hot alot, battery drains, and sometimes apps start to run very very slowly.  I just got this phone a few months ago direct from Samsung, and it was working great until recently. 

I checked my apps battery usage under device care, nothing out of sorts there.

Same experience with update S916BXXS3BXBD. Phone is hot as hell, battery drains superfast, apps slow. Cleared cache partitinon - no effect. Before update I never had to charge during day. Now less usage, sttill charching and carrying power bank. Thinking about factory reset..

I'm thinking of factory reset, too, but I'm hoping it might get resolved before then. Samsung last response was that I was using android Auto and Spotify that were the route cause, but using a common app shouldn't cause overheating and battery drain.

If everyone could submit an error report, that might help them get to the route of the problem quicker.

On the main page, select Support (bottom right) and then Error Report.

I'm also hoping.. Thank's for Error Report point  - Report Sent from Members app.

I don't use Spotify, so I uninstalled the app now. Android auto was last used few month ago..

I had the same thing happen after the last update 3 days ago. Tried clearing cache but that menu errors and will not pop up. Gonna factory reset as others mentioned. Grrrrr....i hate starting over.
