S23 battery life after February 2025 update

My battery life after the February 2025 update has cut the life in half, I use to take the phone off the charger at 7am and not have to plug it up till around 930pm even with heavy usage, now I have to charge my phone during the day.....

Anyone got any ideas on how to boost the battery life back up, or is this more of the planned  let make the phones obsolete so they upgrade?

I finally tracked this down to the spectrum software looking to auto connect  to spectrum wifi and hotshots, I went to settings connections wifi press the ... advance settings and turned off auto connect to spectrum  wifi and hot spots now battery lasts from 7am to around 9pm again

Hello 👋 @Truckdude239 

First please use the optimisation option in your device Care section. 

Then under the battery section look at what apps are using your battery and take appropriate action such as using sleep or deep sleep or remove the app if its not needed. 

You can clear the phone's System Partition Cache Files Section too. 

  • Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port or a usb-c to usb-c phone to phone set up to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }

Is there a fix for this or is this typical Samsung forcing you to upgrade

If they don't fix this the only upgrade I'll be making is is switching to a phone that has a very distinctive logo in the shape of a fruit and a number 16.

Yes, battery life significantly reduced compared to before.  Similar thing happened after an update couple of months ago and next update almost fixed that issue. Now here we go again! I put battery protection to maximum, power saving mode on, no any background apps other than whatsapp. Unused appa already in deep sleep mode. Still battery is draining so fast. With sams settings, if i charge 80% at morning, it will be around 20% remaining by evening 6-7. Now by afternoon it reaches to below 20%. Its fishy that every time there is  new model on market, updates for old models ruin their performance!! Hope they fix it asap.
