Hi guys,

I've noticed my battery drops about 12% overnight when I'm sleeping.
This has only happened just recently,I've checked and no apps were running.
I don't believe it was any software updates that affected this and my phone was running normal after latest update(February).
I always perform partition cache wipe after every update.
Also I have the base model s23 and this doesn't seem to have this issue(drops about 2-3% overnight).

Just wondering if anyone has noticed any such issue?

Thanks all😊

There maybe background processes happening @tinglish that you can't see that the phone itself performs, as well as some apps that work in the background to bring updates and notifications.

Vampire apps such as social media do this.

There is the sleep and deep sleep option to help with this.

Also if you have the AOD activated this will use battery.

A generic troubleshooting step is > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files. There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate to ask.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Yeah like I said I always do partition cache wipe anyway.
Also my s23(base model) has exactly the same apps as my ultra but doesn't have this issue 🤔.
I don't have aod on so won't be that.
It's a bit strange 😅

I normally turn my phone off at night but last night kept it on with WiFi and mobile data active as an experiment and saw a drop of 4% over about 7.5 hours. I was experimenting with the camera a little after the March update so allowing for that 3.6%. Do you have Sleep mode automatically activated at night? Just a thought - mine puts the phone into power saving mode. (I may have added that but can't remember).

I play music overnight to help me sleep and with that my s23 (base model) drops about 9-10% overnight. When I dont play music overnight it only drops by 1% tho. Hope ur ultra settles down soon.

It's no bother, I've just put it on airplane mode overnight for now which solves the problem

I set a routine at night... Power saver, Bluetooth, GPS off, grayscale, etc... still I'm getting a drain off around 1% an hour at night... Not sure if something is wrong here... I keep WiFi and mobile network connection on though (in case someone tries to call)
