Phone restarts overnight randomly

** update . .. Samsung found a fault and replaced my motherboard *** 

My phone keeps restarting for no reason overnight. And then doesn't work until I unlock to finish the restart (which means my mother who is elderly can not get in touch with me if needed .. she is one contact I allow past DND)

It is not set anywhere to restart, it's on charge, and it only just started doing this 2 months ago

I've restarted, checked settings etc

Please help fix this

I'm using the same charger I always have (wireless ankler charger) phone isn't too hot 

Report sent to Samsung as well as phone noticed it was an incorrect start

Hard restart already
Will dig up a wired charger and run that for a few weeks and see
But as I say I heard it's an actual Samsung bug so hoping for some fix or something

Will update on if the wired charger makes any difference (not wanting it wired all night though tbh after wireless who wants to go back haha )

Could also try leaving phone in safe mode overnight to rule out any 3rd party apps or customisations that might be causing your issue

To get to Safe Mode - Long press Power button, long press Power off icon, tap Safe mode icon. (When booted into Safe mode you may need to turn off flight mode as it sometimes enables itself). Monitor your devices behaviour. If the issue is fixed then you know it's one of your 3rd party apps or customisations that were the culprit. It's then up to you to determine which one by a process of elimination.

I keep hearing this is a known bug that even factory reset can not fix
Hoping someone from Samsung can answer this

Yeh safe mode will be an option soon. I've run through all the YouTube's etc so I know all the tricks to "fix it" but as I say I hear it's a known bug that isn't fixable and I need Samsung to let me know
If I need a new phone better now than later

If nothing works after trying some of the steps in the links. Send an error report within the members app. Go to support at the bottom and report error.

What about when you charge at different times of the day? Have you tried charging when you're awake and able to monitor the phone?

It's not a bug in the true sense of the word, otherwise, it would be happening to everybody, including me. Don't believe everything you read online. If a full factory reset doesn't fix it for you, then there's something physically wrong with either your handset / charger combination.

Good luck with Safe Mode and / or the wired charger troubleshooting.

A bug doesn't always happen to everyone. We know that from gaming where one person can have a bug that is clearly there but it doesn't happen to all. Yep phones often on charge during the day too and doesn't happen

I'm on chat with them currently and did send a report 💪🏻 sadly not my first rodeo having issues with Samsung but I still love them way more than apple 🤣
