Does anyone have issues with their phone randomly restarting? I bought the phone refurbished and have no issues up till now. The phone randomly turns off, and last night I had a black screen for ages despite it being charged and on. When it's on, it's fine, but then just restarts or turns off?
Help please!!!!

I would assume this is not likely the reason... but in device care there is an auto optimisation setting that grants the phone the ability to switch itself off if it isn't happy aboit something. It can restart 'when needed' or to a schedule set by the user.

As a debug it might be worth turning this setting off in device care settings... see if the phone stops restarting.

Perhaps there may be a software conflict or an incompatible app that is causing the phone to perform this.

Hi @Doodars  and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum.

In regards to troubleshooting steps you could try >

1. Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }

2. Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict. Alternatively long press the power off button and then long hold on Turn Off to get to Safe Mode.

I note you say the phone js a refurbished model which could be the issue.... maybe.

There is a diagnostic test tool found in your Samsung Members App.

If your within a cooling off period then consider having the phone swapped out.

A Samsung Service Centre can assess your phone.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎
