After happily giving my S24+ exynos trash back a few weeks ago, I noticed the AOD notifications were not colourful anymore and couldn't be changed to colour. Just a dull and boring white. I hated it. Anyways, purchased a lovely S23 ultra for dirt cheap and I read somewhere that when the S23 models get the one ui 6.1 upgrade, they too will have the same. Could anyone clarify if this is this true please?

Price wasn't increased, and yes weight wasn't increased. Screen looks better, especially the anti reflective glare, which for someone like you should appreciate massively being outdoorsy and stuff. I found that alone a huge game changer. None of those other features you mention were either new or different from the S23 Ultra. So I still have yet to hear the downgrades.

The price was increased by a $100 mate. I'm generalising on the downgrades over the years. Not necessarily on the S23 ultra..
Yes, the anti reflective glare is great but still not a worthy upgrade as of yet and I would definitely say yes to it as it seems to have much better scratch proof. I believe you can buy these anti reflective screen protectors apparently but I've never used them. Haven't had many issues tbh when outdoors. Just wondering if you think that taking colours away from notifications on the AOD is an upgrade 🤔 let's have a look at the Sony Xperia. Look at the amazing hardware it has. Look how light it is. I know it's a 6.5 screen but I bet if they made a 6.7 or 6.8 screen it would still be much lighter than any ultra device. I'm not knocking Samsung as I own a lot of their products and love them. And obviously have a fantastic S23 ultra. 👍🏻

Hello!!

First time using this community, hope you dont mind me asking youba question,

may I ask if the Instant Slow-Mo feature has been confirmed/denied to be coming to the S23 series?

You're on the wrong forum. This is the European/UK forum and pricing here, the S24 Ultra is exactly the same as the S23 Ultra. The S23 was £849 on release, the S24 is £799, both were for 128GB models. The S23+ was £1049/£1149 for the 256/512GB models. The S24+ is £999/£1049 for the 256/512GB models. All are cheaper. A simple Google search shows even in the US all S24 models are either cheaper or the same price as the S23 models were at launch. I don't know where you're getting this $100 more expensive from.

The AoD colour thing seems like such a minor gripe, feels pedantic. However full disclosure, I'm biased, I never used AoD ever so to me none of it matters.

I live in London mate. Again, just pointing out an increase by Samsung which effects others, not you or anyone else here. It's still an increase isn't it.

AOD notification colours not available on S24 models. Would you say this is an upgrade???

It wasn't increased and you're flat out lying. Prices on the + model are actually £100 cheaper than last year. Not only do I remember reading about this before launch, there's ample history online to prove it.

I live in the UK and I know what the prices were/are.

Mate, I read the prices were $100 more in the US. Don't know if this is true as I don't live there and you've probably just googled it up and decided to call me a liar with venom lol. Cheers!

And yes, am aware of the the plus models being cheaper. I owned one 🤨

Can we finally get to the matter in hand. AOD notification colours.. talk to me...🧐

Well I bought both the S23 Ultra and S24 Ultra, both 1TB, both same price only a better trade in deal for the S24 Ultra. I ended up paying £50 less for the S24 Ultra and got more bonuses too, a free case, screen protectors and a GW6 compared to just a Galaxy Tag with the S23 Ultra...

Bit crazy both being same price aye. S23 ultra should be quite a bit cheaper if anything. That's why I purchased one cash for £500. 12g 512g. Would never in a million years pay that price for a phone that's a year older especially if it's the same price as the new one. That's just scandalous lol..
