None of the suggestions in the thread are working for me. Google and Samsung better figure it out or I'm switching to Apple. Not only does LIve Transcribe no longer work but neither does Text to Voice (where the phone reads text messages aloud). I've sat for hours on verizon tech support. I'm about done with this expensive phone. Verizon, Google and Samsung are about to lose me as a customer. I've had the phone for 9 months and it's been nothing but problems; Samsung Ultra 23 (biggest piece of trash ever)

After testing both with the update and without: They appear to be working about the same as both just rely on having a stable internet connection. The offline transcriptions appear to be the only issue and everyone should make sure that option is turned off in the live transcribe's settings. However, if you feel the older version works better, there's nothing wrong with that. For those that prefer the older version and aren't familiar with how their phone's apps get updates: you'll need to go to Google PlayStore's settings and turn off Auto-update apps or it'll keep updating to the new version (you'll need to check for new updates manually for your other apps). I've been in contact with Google's Disability support and Samsung/Google are both aware of this issue for the S23 line. There's no timeframe on an update to fix this, but in my experience it usually takes 1-2 months. Those of you who rely on this app for everyday communication such as myself: I'd advise using a different phone (perhaps an old one you have laying around until an update for this comes out). I'm using an old S21 for it myself and the offline transcriptions work. It's just temporary, we're all still breathing 🤣😂😋
