live transcribe not working on s23 ultra

recently updated to android 14 one ui 6 on my s23 ultra and now live transcribe isnt working anyone else have this problem is there a way to go back to android 13?

are you suggesting revert back to android 13?  I looked up the instructions and it looked difficult.

No just follow his instructions and go to playstore. Find live transcript and uninstall. It will then say open. And it works. The app update broke it with android 14.

It won't allow me to Uninstaller live transcribe.

No, sorry I should have been clearer. The simplest option is to go to Live Transcribe's settings and make sure offline transcriptions are turned off. The update to live transcribe has them turned on. The Android 14 update on Samsung's S23 series has caused a compatibility issue with that particular setting. It's still not going to work as well if the internet cuts out, but it's better than nothing until it gets fixed.

Apologies for not being clearer. You don't need to uninstall it. Just go to Live Transcribe's settings and make sure offline transcriptions are turned off. That's where the issue is with the Android 14 update. It will caption correctly if connected to the internet, but it gets spotty when inside at times and will cut out. If that happens just close it out and restart. It's a temporary fix until Google/Samsung create a fix for it.

me too .. have the exact same problem after the one UI 6 update but only in English.  It's working just fine in other languages

Does anyone know Samsung will be fixing this?  In the very near future?  Has anyone connected with someone in the know at Samsung?  This literally is so critical to me that if they are placing this on low priority, then I'll need to get a different phone almost right away.

I have tried your suggestion to make sure offline transcriptions are turned off in the latest version and yes, Live Transcribe does indeed work again, but not reliably as explained below.

I noticed that the live transcriptions are at times intermittent and as such not as reliable as simply uninstalling the Live Transcribe and reverting to the older version of Live Transcribe that came with Android 14, Samsung One UI 6.0 which simply works.

Can anyone else please affirm if this is true for you as well?
