Google Assitant keeps popping up when trying to type a message

Hi, since I got the 6.1 UI update, I cannot type any text anymore without Google assistant keeping popping up on my screen and closing my actual app text box. I cannot message anybody or type anything anywhere anymore. Really annoying. I have deactivated Google Assistant app but it still keeps popping up. Please help, this is so time consuming to just write this text as it seems the latest software update has broken my keypad!

What keyboard are you using? Can you maybe post a screenshot

Thanks it was a typo, I meant keypad. The samsung keypad on the phone screen. It keeps disappearing when typing as Google Assitant keeps popping up whenever I start to type anything.

Not had that problem. Please screen shot your problems. Have you set up a shortcut for any of the buttons. ?

I took a short video to show how the app keeps popping up and deleting my typed text as it exits the other app... but it seems it does not allow to upload videos...

As it doesn't allow me to upload the short video, I took screenshots of the video. You can see how the assistant suddenly pops up twice whilst I am writing and after second time my written text is gone as the assistant app opened over this app and I had to re write all text.

How are you setup under Settings/Navigation bar? Try experimenting there

I don't know if it's just the way you've done your screenshots, but your screen looks very...busy. Wondering if you're inadvertently long pressing on the home button whilst using the space bar?
