I have an S23, and suddenly charging is taking several hours with a "slow charging" message popping up. This has not happened before. It currently says 6 hours and 46mins until full charge. Any way resolve this? I have tried multiple chargers and cables, and cleaned out the usb c port on the phone.

Have you checked to see if fast charging is still enabled

Yes that's on. I did however never use it before and it charged normally with no slow charging message appearing

Can you do a diagnostic on the battery. You can do this via the Samsung members page. Post back with its status please.

Also can you try wiping the cache partition

I have done that and it just says battery satus good.
I've noticed when plugged into my car it does not hold a charge at all with multiple cables. It will charge and stop charging repeatedly. Like someone is keeping the USB in the phone but unplugging it and plugging it in the wall multiple times a second.

Could be a faulty usb port. I know you've cleaned it out, but there could still be a problem with it. You may have to let a service centre take a look at it.

That's disappointing but thank you for your help. I may try a factory reset as one last resort

You could as a last resort. Have you tried wireless charging...does it fast charge that way?

The one thing you need to be careful with is are you using a known good charger and cable. I know you've tried other chargers and cables but you need to be 100% sure these all work properly. It could be that your original charger or cable developed a fault and the alternatives were also no good. A bit improbable but certainly possible.

That's unfortunate. Does the cable feel overly loose to you when plugged into the port. It should be nice and tight and not pull out easily...if you know what I mean.
