Email scroll lock

So over the last couple of weeks while using the Samsung email app, I'm having issues with what feels like some type of scroll lock.

I can open the app, select which email account I want to read, and can scroll with zero issues, but as soon as I try to reply to an email or compose an email it won't allow me to scroll down the screen.

I've included a screen recording of whats happening, as it will make more sense. Dont worry this is just a spam mail that isnt even using my correct email haha.

Now this happens no matter if its Hotmail, Yahoo or Gmail. 

Am I missing a setting somewhere that switches on some weird scroll lock? I'm just using the standard settings, and havent changed anything.

I have the latest updates and software of one UI8, but ut was also doing this before I updated.

Same issue here on Samsung Fold5 running latest firmware. Can't scroll down in emails when in draft /reply. Extremely annoying.

Not necessarily limited to older Samsungs. I'm running S24FE, which is still a fully supported and currently-sold phone!

Same here on my new S25, started since an update. The cursor now determines the visibility, and if you reply yet still want to see the email far beyond the cursor opposition, then place it in the To field for instance, and you can scroll the email body as before. 

The rules for the cursor are evident: one can't scroll any further up, or down, than 4 lines between the chair and either top or bottom of your screen; in other words there will always be at least 4 lines between the top or bottom of the screen and the cursor 

Anyone would know how to fix this, this is a deliberate change and not some quirky bug

S10. Me too. This is irritating. Some change must have occured in the app. How long will it take for Samsung to undo the bad code? I could be wrong, but that seems likely.

Same here, big mess over emails cannot reply to anyone basically. Disaster Samsung

Same issue for me on S24 Ultra. I wondered if the protector I have for the phone was causing the problem? I noticed the issue about a week ago.

I can at least report that it is the Samsung email app that is having the issue. I added one of my email accounts to the GMail app on my phone and I'm able to reply and scroll like normal. What I don't understand is what could have changed. My phone is an S10 and no updates available for it for quite awhile. Something obviously changed.

My Samsung email app started doing that today. I uninstalled the Samsung Mail app completely and then reinstalled it from the Google Play store and it's still has the scroll issue. Very frustrating to have that happen all of a sudden when I reply or reply to all in an email.

Hi guys...considering that I have faced the same exactly problem recently, I just wanted to share a small trick that helped me to work with my emails, a least in a decent way...I'll try to explain it and I hope you can understand.

I noticed that when I reply to any email and I begin to write the text, if I tap on the object of the email or the list of the email addresses I can than scroll normally...let me know if this can help you...until we'll get an update...ciao everybody
