EDIT PROBLEM NOW FIXED THANKS TO SAMUEL953 (SEE HIS POST IN THE COMMENTS.) And here's a copy.

'think I have a fix... Go into Settings, Apps, click on the sort icon and enable "Show system apps". Search for "Android System Webview". When you find the app in the list, click on it and then click on Storage. There you can clear cache and clear data. You may also be able to click on the three dots and also uninstall updates to reset it to factory. Once you've done this restart the phone and the email scroll problem should be resolved. Worked for me.'

So over the last couple of weeks while using the Samsung email app, I'm having issues with what feels like some type of scroll lock.

I can open the app, select which email account I want to read, and can scroll with zero issues, but as soon as I try to reply to an email or compose an email it won't allow me to scroll down the screen.

I've included a screen recording of whats happening, as it will make more sense. Dont worry this is just a spam mail that isnt even using my correct email haha.

Now this happens no matter if its Hotmail, Yahoo or Gmail. 

Am I missing a setting somewhere that switches on some weird scroll lock? I'm just using the standard settings, and havent changed anything.

I have the latest updates and software of one UI8, but ut was also doing this before I updated.

Yep happening here too. You would think these lazy ***** would find a way to fix this *****. Like stop updating ***** that doesnt need updating and breaking everyones ***** at the same time.

Same problem. S25 Ultra. Tried everything. Used Samsung email app for nany years. Now forced to use Outlook.

Tapping on the subject line worked for me - i could scroll and then get back to where i was typing and able to continue... till that fills the screen and you have to repeat. Tedious but it certainly worked for me on my S21 FE

thanks, I was thinking of doing that as a last resort too but doesn't sound worth it if your experience is anything to go by! App is unusable isn't it

mine is an S10 too, the scrolling issue started a week or so ago. Very annoying

I have tried reinstalling app and it did not help.

I'm having the same issue for the last couple months. It's a huge pain.

I wonder if it correlates with their latest update?

I'm using a Galaxy S23 FE.
