I have just bought a new samsung galaxy s25 fe and I now have the same issue. I don't even have any updates to uninstall, although i did clear the cache and data as suggested and then restarted.
All to no avail.
My old s20fe works fine......I know you're not supposed to, but I stopped it downloading updates months ago, as they were appearing so often it was really annoying. Maybe that's why it still works correctly!
I wish I'd not bought a new phone now. An utter waste of money really as I use the email every day for business and this is driving me mad.
So, for now at least, I'm going back to my old phone.

Thanks for the update. I reported this to Samsung support this afternoon. They took control of my phone and could see what the issue was. They said they would get back with 48hrs....we shall see?!. The lady I spoke to hadn't seen it before!! I had tried all the suggested solutions that Google shows online including the Android System Webview one which also definitely doesn't work.
Its interesting that this issue isn't present on my old Samsung A6 on which the Samsung email app works perfectly and I did not have this scroll lock/snapping issue. I recently upgraded to a new S23 where the bug is present. Its also present on another older S21 that belongs to my wife.

No that fails...not a fix

Thanks. The Android System WebView cache/data wipe solution doesn't work.
I was looking at the cause and effects of this issue in the Samsung email app just now..... interesting results:
First ...view an email in your inbox
Then select 'reply' or 'reply all' - the email behind keyboard can only be scrolled down so far then snaps up when you remove your finger. Next remove the email address in the To: slot at the top....you will notice that complete scrolling of the email behind the keyboard is now restored...
Select ' forward' - the email behind the keyboard can be fully scrolled with or without the To: email address.
This suggests that there is a conflict of some kind - the insertion of an email address in the To: slot when you select 'reply or 'reply all' (but not 'forward') is stopping the scrolling from working correctly.

I followed your instructions, but unfortunately 'forward' with leaving the address line empty, still won't scroll on my S23.
It's a pain, but I save my draft whenever I wish to scroll. I immediately reopen my draft & that allows me to scroll down to the message to which I'm replying. As soon as I type I can't scroll, so I repeat the saving & reopening step....often.

Update...it looks as if you leave the address line empty on either reply, reply all or forward then scrolling works......BUT even if you leave the address empty, then once you start typing anything in reply, reply all or forward....it locks the scrolling....a real pain.
Hope this gets fixed soon....it really renders Samsung email almost useless.

That makes sense because my husband & I both have S23 phones. I use Chrome; he doesn't. I'm having the problems & his phone is fine.
