I did correspond with Samsung and they said very sorry, how terrible, they would pass on problem. But now wondering if we are supposed to be letting Chrome/google know? I disabled Chrome but use Opera which is Chrome platform. Still have problem.

You can at least use the Gmail client to get you through this. It doesn't take long to set up, especially if you only have one email account.

Hi...thanks for keeping at this...I hope they get it sorted. Have you got someone in Samsung help who is taking technical ownership of this?
Presumably its affecting thousands of phone owners? I find it weird that a fix has not already been pushed out!
I still haven't heard back from Samsung after I spoke with them on Friday.
Can someone change the tab on top right of this thread to show the item has NOT got a solution?

Unfortunately the fix worked first time around but now I also had to reset the Android System Webview to factory setting before it worked. Phew. Needless to say I won't be installing updates for a while.

It worked for me.
Once you find android system webmail - uninstall updates. Then go into settings>apps>email>app details in store> three dots on top right corner>untick 'auto update'
Hope that helps you too. Its been driving me nuts!
