Thanks to MsD666. This solution seems to be working, i havent had any issues for the last few days with replying to emails. Please follow the steps below.

"This worked for me. Once you find android system webmail - uninstall updates. Then go into settings>apps>email>app details in store> three dots on top right corner>untick 'auto update' Hope that helps anyone. Its been driving me nuts too!"

Unfortunately the fix wE thought we had below stops working and goes back to the same issues again. I encourage everyone to contact Samsung and direct them to this post, hopefully with enough complaints they will actually fix it.

EDIT PROBLEM NOW FIXED THANKS TO SAMUEL953 (SEE HIS POST IN THE COMMENTS.) And here's a copy.

'think I have a fix... Go into Settings, Apps, click on the sort icon and enable "Show system apps". Search for "Android System Webview". When you find the app in the list, click on it and then click on Storage. There you can clear cache and clear data. You may also be able to click on the three dots and also uninstall updates to reset it to factory. Once you've done this restart the phone and the email scroll problem should be resolved. Worked for me.'

So over the last couple of weeks while using the Samsung email app, I'm having issues with what feels like some type of scroll lock.

I can open the app, select which email account I want to read, and can scroll with zero issues, but as soon as I try to reply to an email or compose an email it won't allow me to scroll down the screen.

I've included a screen recording of whats happening, as it will make more sense. Dont worry this is just a spam mail that isnt even using my correct email haha.

Now this happens no matter if its Hotmail, Yahoo or Gmail. 

Am I missing a setting somewhere that switches on some weird scroll lock? I'm just using the standard settings, and havent changed anything.

I have the latest updates and software of one UI8, but ut was also doing this before I updated.

Thx. I have same issue, and similar issue when I am typing a long email on the device, once the type reaches the keyboard on the screen, it falls below and I cannot see what I'm typing. 

I am unable to find Android System Webview in my app search.  I can install 3 different ones from Playstore. None are currently installed. S24+.

In apps at the top right there's a sort icon. Click that, then at the top of the next menu, there's a slidebar to "Show system apps". Enable that. Then the webview shows up.

Thanks SO much. Removing updates on the Android webview seems to have done the trick.  I am so grateful for the generous sharing of this information!! 🙏

I tried this....it worked for about 4 days then reverted back to same problem!  Very frustrating!!

Z-fold 7 here, did the fix. Doing these steps actually removed the Android System Webmail from my device. Although the email (replies) can scroll again.  But presumably this software was needed for something? I don't know what other things are now broken. Such as potentially certain web forms, online shopping etc? 
And now I don't know how to get it back, if something more important is broken.
Surely they test things out before breaking them?

I'm having this issue and this fix did not work for me.  Uninstalling the update for ANDROID SYSTEM WEB VIEW corrects the issue, but then it comes back within a day or so.  Un-checking auto update for email app does not correct the issue either.  Hopefully a fix comes soon.

This scrolling problem is driving me bonkers! I can't find 'Android System Webmail' anywhere in my S22 settings. Please help...
