I have this problem too

I don't use Bixby on my S23 Ultra, but I am purchasing a Galaxy Watch 7 (not delivered yet), so was reading up on features.  One feature is using Bixby.  It seems like it might be useful to use voice commands instead of typing on the smaller screen of a watch.

HOWEVER, I have searched through my phone and cannot find the Bixby app.  I also tried going to Modes and Routines (as mentioned in another post here), but there's nothing in those screens where I would turn on voice commands with Bixby (no mention of Bixby at all there).

Anybody know where to find it on my S23 Ultra?

Thanks!

Got an answer from Samsung chat support.  Since I had never used Bixby (and I've had the phone 1.5 years), the phone put the Bixby app into deep sleep where it could not be found in apps or settings, etc.  According to the Samsung support chat agent, the only way to restore an app from deep sleep is to reset my app preferences in settings, which I did.  Bixby then showed up in my app drawer and in the long-press side button menu.

This is a much more disruptive solution than the one provided below by AndrewL, so if you have a similar issue, use his solution, not this one from Samsung chat support.

Bibby might be in deep sleep. If you don't use it, check your app settings and take it out of deep sleep

@LWRGirl: It should be possible to wake a deep sleeping app by heading to Settings > Battery > Background usage limits > Deep sleeping apps > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Remove > Select the relevant app > Remove. I hope this helps.

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Forum

Please go to:

Settings
Advanced Features
Bixby

It isn't an app as such, is it part of the core software. From here you can ensure you have given Bixby the right permissions etc.

Thanks, AndrewL.  Wish I had waited for your answer before contacting Samsung support.  One would think Samsung support would provide the least disruptive answer that you provided rather than setting my preferences to default (sigh).

Hi Andrew. I checked my deep sleep apps but I don't see bixby on the list. How do we fix this?
