Galaxy S23 Ultra not fast charging.

Hello. Has anyone experienced problems with the Galaxy S23 Ultra only fast charging wireless and not through the USB port? I've checked all the fast charging settings and checked the fast charger with another device. The USB port only charges at normal speed with a fast charger. Seams like the USB port has an issuse

Hello @VillaBrum and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋 

Please use a torch to look inside the usb-c port to ensure there's no foreign debris collated. 

You could try > 

  • Usb reset.
    Settings > Apps > Tap the 3 lines with the downward facing arrow, to the right of 'Your apps' > Show system apps (toggle this on) > OK > Scroll down, and tap on 'USBSettings' > Storage > Clear cache > Clear data, then restart your device. 

And

  • Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's } 

TThere's a diagnostic test tool found in your Samsung Members App too. 

If you perform a forum search you may find existing threads with some further help or guidence within.  

If all else fails a Samsung Service Centre can assess your phone.

Still no change unfortunately. The USB port looks clear and clean. I think the charging device inside the phone has a fault

What charger are you using to fast charge your device via USB port? Is it a PD 2.0 rated charger of at least 25W or higher rating?

Thanks for the reply @Joeeye....see in the photo. I think its 65W. It came with my Samsung laptop and my sons Galaxy S21 fast chargers fine with it

Hmm, that is unusual. Did it use to fast charge before or has it always been like this?

For reference, my S24 Ultra charges at 45W charging with my original Samsung 45W charger I bought 5 years ago for my Note 10+ 5G at the time.

@VillaBrum: Please note that Fast charging or Super fast charging will only appear on screen momentarily after connecting to your charger. With this in mind, while connected to your charger, please head to Settings > Battery, and check below the status bar at the top of the screen. Does it say 'Super fast charger connected'? 

If not, please head to the Samsung Members app > Press and hold on the app icon > Diagnostics > Phone diagnostics > Cable charging, and follow the on-screen prompts. Does this return an 'Action required' notification in the summary at the end of the test?

Suffering the same issues. I've been into O2 to trouble shoot and no luck. Run diagnostics all fine, no change in the cable, used to Super Charge now only standard charging which takes hours. Clean USB port. Really not sure what to do.
