The issue is most likely related to a single firmware distribution and hence not being that common. Nothing software related fixed it.
I got my phone fixed under the warranty by taking it to the Samsung's certified retailer. They had to replace the circuit board to get the phone working again.
Something that could potentially work, is plugging your phone to a PC and updating the firmware through Samsung Dex.
