S Pen accuracy and sensitivity

I just got my s23 ultra around a week ago and the s pen was a god send as I have always used a stylus type thing from amazon on my s20 ultra for the last 3 years. 

But for the last 3 days or so, it seems very hit or miss. The accuracy and sensitivity both seem to have decreased significantly to the point where I end up using a finger again. Sometimes the little circle on the screen when the pen is held close, is way off where it should be.

A lot of taps on the screen won't even register at all. Scrolling is mostly broken using the s pen.

Basically, anytime I try to use it now it makes life so much more difficult because half the time is spent tapping things like 6 or 7 times before it registers anything and I just end up putting it away and using my finger again. 

The first few days using it, it worked flawlessly but now it's a literal nightmare to use. 

Any ideas anyone?

Try going into settings
Scroll down to Advanced Features
Tap on S Pen
Tap on the 3 dots top right
Then tap on Reset S Pen

Unusual issue you are having

Just be aware that some phone cases have very strong magnets that can be a problem as well.
So if you have a case, maybe remove it temporarily to see if this makes a difference

You are quite correct. When I remove my phone from its case the s pen works perfectly. I put it back in the case and it's all over the place. Time to change the case again I guess.

I also checked the settings like you suggested and all it says when I tap the 3 dots on the top right corner is 'scan for s pen pro' 🤷

The problem is resolved though, so thank you for the suggestion regarding the case.
