Samsung S23 software upgrade today dark mode in apps needs changed

I have had a software upgrade on my Samsung S23 today and now I have dark backgrounds in apps like Whatsapp and my email etc. This is really annoying and I have searched for a setting to change this but can't find anything. How can they do this without asking if this is what I want?

So I have found a setting in Power saving which turns off dark mode which is a relief but it didn't occur to me to look there to find this.

The other thing that has happened is that all the icons seem to have shrunk with a border round them and I'd like to get them back to the full size as before. Any ideas how to do this?

Youre using a custom icon pack no? This doesnt seem to be normal UI7

Hold empty spot on screen- themes- menu- "my stuff"- icons - change to default

Settings- display- light mode?

Its then up to the specific apps developers to choose if they follow system themes- so if you have dark mode enabled they will copy. Most apps have an option to choose between- dark, light and system. Dependant on the specific devs/ app

As an example- whatapp-
Go to settings (three dots top right)- chats- theme- 1747156419804.jpg

thanks but I found the setting in Power saving and have solved the problem already. Another problem is that all the icons have shrunk with a border round them.
