major update issue

if i open an app i cannot use the options on the bottom of the phone 

three lines to show all open apps

circle to get to home screen

< to go back

phone is stuck on the app i opened, any ideas?

Settings, display, navigation bar, make sure it's set to buttons. It might have swapped to gesture in the update. You can also try swapping to gesture and then back to buttons

Hi, thanks for the reply but tried that and cannot get navigation bar options to work so major issue getting off an app if i cannot get to homescreen, perfect before this update, help

To confirm, @arianwen27 's comment- my attached image look the same to yours? If so, hopefully a simple soft reboot will help. Hold the volume down and power buttons until the phone restarts.

Whomever at Samsung thought this 'update' was a good idea needs a right good shoeing. Because it's fecken appalling.
If I wanted something so bad I'd have got an IPhone. In fact it's WORSE.
