Hi everyone. Received my s23 ultra earlier. After testing the phone, I took a nap. However, I decided to add another sim on the slot when I woke up. I accidentally inserted the sim ejector pin to one of the tiny mic holes at the bottom with enough force thinking to eject the sim slot. My question is, is there some kind of barrier to protect the mic from being poked? I recorded multiple vids and made calls, mic is ok they said.. I hope the pin didnt puncture through the mic. Any help and suggestions would be appreciated.

Lol, I did the same. But mine is alright. Maybe you can diagnose your phone whether the mic is damage or not.

S23 users got the same poke hole problems. Looks like Samsung need to do sth with the design with s24. 🤣🤣🤣

OK. Did you do it on top of your phone for speaker or bottom microphone?

@pen2023: Your Galaxy S23 Ultra has a microphone at the top and bottom of the device. The top mic is situated to the right of the front camera as you look at it, while a speaker sits just above the camera itself. It's difficult to verify if you have damaged your mic from this position, however you may wish to head to the Samsung Members app > Press and hold on the app icon > Diagnostics > Mic, and run through the on-screen instructions. Does the audio sound ok during the playback for the top mic? While you're here, you can run through a speaker test as well for some added peace of mind.

For a layout of the phone's hardware features, please refer to pages 5-6 of the user manual via the link below.

Let me know how you get on.
