Issues with touch not registering properly on very left and right edge of screen

Hi, got my S23 Ultra today and I've noticed a weird issue at the very edge of the screen on the left and right. I used a touch screen test app to confirm - if I start in the middle of the phone and move my finger on the screen it registers my touch right to the very edge and all the way up/down.

If however I do single taps RIGHT on the edges it's very inconsistent registering the touch. I noticed it in a couple of apps that have icons really near the edge and then confirmed it with the test app.

Screen grab illustrating it, I was tapping at a consistent speed but about half of them didn't register. Screen grab attached.

      Weird, I don't see the vid, here's a link: https://1drv.ms/v/s!AuHBRcA3QDVO6gKl4jnEqXbR6KZu

*EDIT* Solved it. It was overly aggressive palm rejection at the edges to avoid unintended touches. I used the edge touch module in goodlock and cranked it right down and it works like a charm now!

      Hi @Magiverous

Your uploaded video wouldn't play until it's been moderated by the Team.

Run the diagnostic tool in your Samsung Members app.

If you have any inclination that the phone's touchscreen capabilities are faulty then consider having the phone swapped out under any relevant cooling off period.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

Yeah, I've got this also. The screen response is no where near as sensitive as my S22 Ultra. Even with the sensitivity toggled for screen protectors the S23 Ultra needs quite a firm press near the edges. I hope this is just something an update can fix

Mine is fine everywhere else, just almost none responsive on the left and right edges.

Excellent spot. I've downloaded the Edge touch component and it works a treat. Many thanks.
I was starting to think the phone would have to go back.
Do you have a screen protector fitted to yours?

I do, and a case. But I removed both before I realised it was the palm rejection setting lol. Luckily screen protectors usually come in packs of 3 so it's not the end of the world 🙂 I to was worried it would have to go back. I was gutted since I absolutely LOVE this phone otherwise.
