Trying to setup the smart view case on my s22 ultra. Samsung support page says go to accessories setting, but I don't have that option. Genuine Samsung smart case fitted correctly. Anyone have any ideas.

I'm thinking of sending this back and getting the led case. Could you tell me how it handles notifications such as incoming calls?

Led dots in the shape of phone call shows up in the top right hand corner, similarly with text.
When you place the phone in the case for the first time , it downloads the case software. This allows you to configure your own custom icon, or select from a library of preinstalled icons and assign them to notifications from a specific application -email, whatsapp etc or a call from a specific person

Is the cover a smart clear view cover. If so, does it appear in settings/advanced features/accessories ?

It's a smart clear view. I do not have accessories in advanced.

on my phone accessories is between "show contacts when sharing content" and "Video call effects".
Be interested to see if @T457 is using the same cover as you and if so do they have the accessories option under settings/advance features

I think the case is working as intended now, just doesn't have a lot of functionality. As you said the phone has to be turned on but the screen has to be unlocked and open when putting the case on. That then allows the clear view gap to show the time and a name of any contact that is calling, also with option to answer or hang up.

@Robsy Bear in mind, if you change to the LED cover, you only see notifications on the cover briefly when you get the notification. Calls are different, they are visible while the phone is ringing

I'm having the same behaviour, no software is being installed when inserting the cover and I cannot get the proper view on my s22 ultra.
