At a loss. I updated my S22 Ultra a few months ago and my sim card stopped working. Thought it was a physical sim slot/card issue (and just coincidental with software update). Went to phone carrier (Telstra) and they tried an eSim with same outcome, Sim card didn't work. Have tried other sim cards in my phone and while they read the number and info from sim (seen in settings), they don't do calls or SMS at all (except when hooked to wifi, then it works for that number).
I have tried the original offending sim card in other phones and works fine, so definitely my phone issue. I have been hot spotting my work phone (with my personal sim in) and working that way as I had a few things on my phone and some travel that I knew would throw a spanner if I factory reset at the time.
Just did a Factory reset tonight and still not working.
Not sure what the next option is, I remember the young fella in the Samsung store I went into when first happened said there was a (better/more in-depth) software update that can be done my Samsung.
I now have a (surprising for me!) non-cracked and working in every other way phone that doesn't read any sims and I really don't want to buy a new one.....any help/suggestions pretty please 🙏
Thanks! Mel

You'll probably have to invest into a new phone. You have tried everything an user can

I had the same issue last week. Tried new physical sim and e sim without success. I did some research and it turns out that the s22 ultra has a known issue with the ribbon cable antenna detaching inside the phone. Took it to a local repair shop and had a new ribbon antenna installed and all works perfect. Cost was $75....much better than spending a bunch of money for a new phone. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice, Samsung said it was Antenna when I finally got to their physical store so that matches. I’ll find someone who can do the fox here locally.
Thanks!
