Secure Folder: Forgot Password doesn't work

I seem to have forgotten my Secure Folder password. When I press Forgot password, it gets stuck on the loading icon. It doesn't take me to My samsung account as it should. I only have 4 attempts left now? What to do? What happens when i exhaust the tries? Does it delete the secure folder

Hi Spiritbear, I have exactly the same problem. I got my Samsung S22 a couple of weeks ago. Its locked me out of the secure folder and similarly when I press the forgot password, its just gets stuck on the loading page. I have 8 attempts remaining though. Could it be a software fault, I wonder. I will keenly be following this topic.

Try the below steps and let us know if they work for you:

1. Settings > Apps > Samsung account > More options (…) > tap ‘Uninstall updates’ (Samsung account v14.0.00.11)
2. (In case of reset Password needed) Settings > tap and sign in ‘Samsung account' of the top > run Secure Folder’ > mistype Password > tap ‘Forgot password’ > tab ‘Reset’ on the reset Password popup > enter New Password

My software colleagues have advised that there should be a Secure Folder app update released shortly that fixes the issue, but until then to use the above workaround.

Mine just keeps going up in hours before I can try password again not even given me a option to reset

Hi @AntS ,

I tried the steps , but still no change!. All I sees is an option to enter password after 'x' no. of mins/hours. There is no forget pass word link, literally stuck with the enter pwd message.
