On Saturday my phone did an update, The phone restarted itself not long after and I then noticed that the Samsung logo appeared then it restarted several times with the Samsung logo re-appearing constantly.

When it did eventually boot into the lock screen, just before I saw "One UI Installing apps" and it counted up to 100% then the lock screen presented itself. I unlocked the phone then the screen went completely black. I press unlock/power button and nothing. I was forced to do soft reset by pressing volume down and power to restart the device.

The process continued with the phone restarting several times with Samsung logo appearing.

How on earth do I fix this? I hope I don't have to wipe my phone.

Hi,

Unfortunately the issue is still present after wiping device. There is now what looks like "confetti dots" all over the screen that comes and goes. Like when a graphics card is going faulty on a PC or Laptop. Looks like the screen/graphics failing...

Had enough of Samsung now. First the One UI issues a few months ago then the screen, not good.

Hi, sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, the previous advice still stands. If you're planning on keeping the phone, then you'll need to seek a repair from an authorised Samsung repair centre.

Thanks Robin.

I had the screen replaced by Samsung in April, I wonder if this screen is faulty. I have it booked in for a repair with them again on Saturday 31st.

thanks

Usually, this issue is associated with a non authorised repair. However, if it was carried out by Samsung, then enquire if it came with a guarantee.

UPDATE - Samsung have looked at my phone and the main board needs to be replaced, apparently it's a common fault! The Samsung tech didn't have a main board for my phone in his van so appointment been booked to replace it on 12th Sep. Now I have been googling the issue it seems that this is a widespread issue!

£1200 phone and main board is fried.

Hi, I have ha this problem also. I've tried all the suggestions from wiping the cache file, rebooting into safe mode, and doing a complete hard reset which appeared to work for a couple of hours, then the same issue again. My son completed a complete wipe of the phone and reinstalled the original Samsung firmware from scratch, BUT again the same issue. One UI optimises app's and goes into boot loop again. So frustrating

Today my 2 Years old S22 Ultra suddenly powered off and a boot loop started. I tried fixing the issue following Samsung community experiences, such as soft reset, cache clear and factory reset, I tried everything and problem does not went away. I visited my nearest Samsung Customer Service Center in Vasundhara Ghaziabad and after few checks and failed software upgrade, Samsung customer care representative informed that Mother Board is short/died and need to replace it. Cost of replacement is so high that I can purchase a good smart phone within that price. I faced the same issue 4 years back with my Note Series - Mother Board Sudden Die within 2 Years. My Uses are non-gaming and are simple -email, chats, camera etc and both the time Phone Died within 2 Years - Such poor quality can not be expected from Samsung. I will never ever buy Samsung Phone Again for sure.

Sorry to hear that. I got my S22 fixed under warranty and sold the device and bought a S24 Ultra. Working well at the moment 🙏
