Hello, same problem with my S22 Ultra.

Went to a store today to hand in for repair. In Scotland (not sure where else) the warranty lasts 2 years. so they are looking to replace my motherboard.

6.1 S22Ultra seems to be for certain motherboard models (I assume, as someone not tech savvy, different regions/different build of motherboard). This means my S22U is crashing as the update wasn't able to be applied properly (?).

I'll update when my phone is back with me to say if they did manage to resolve this or not.

-Note- this isnt definitive proof as of yet. I'll update to say what's going on.

Update 04th June 2024- phone is on the way back, so will have it by the weekend and I'll give it a week and see if this has sort this issue

So update day 1: with the phone back: Reboot and set up went well with the phone responding faster than before. Hard to describe but 6.1 feels as smooth as it did pre-update. Still early on as the reboots can hit randomly. I'll update again if a few days now to say if I have had a crash.
So far can assume the new motherboard is the option until a patch/update is out for people that can't get a store repair

Update 8th July - Phone has been working as normal pre-update. So probably safe at this point to say it has been fixed with the new compatible motherboard.
Hope all the best getting a new motherboard. A bad job on samsung for giving an incompatible patch to people

Final update (I hope) now 18th July 2024 and the phone works as normal. No problem with 6.1.

If you can get the motherboard replaced, do it. If you want to keep using the phone that it.

My One UI 6 S22 Ultra (On May security patch) went into bootloop randomly before 72 hours, then kept on restarting (showing only Samsung logo, no lockscreen) for around 24 hours. Then i tried few button combinations, managed to get into download mode. It showed the Download mode screen and after that it's totally dead. Not even getting charged. I'm from India, out of warranty. Service centre is saying motherboard failure. Motherboard replacement costs Rs.41k (~$500). Not doing it. Samsung must replace affected device motherboards for free, else why would I buy a phone that costs like a vehicle if they cannot provide peace of mind to customers Galaxy S22

As of 7/7/2024 i am now having this same issue with my s22U where phone is crashing and restarting Wifi is turning it's self off then back on again then phone crashes restarts several times before staying on.  highly frustrating  as i need my phone on for medical reasons and can't afford a replacement.

Since I was a young child, I have been a devoted user of Samsung products, and the Note 3 was one of my favorite mobile devices. Recently, on April 3, 2022, I paid my hard-earned 1,19,000 INR in a retail store to purchase S22ULTRA 512GB.
But I noticed a Samsung update on July 5, 2024, and I installed it. Shortly after, the phone entered a reboot loop and remained in that state forever. Since there was no authorized service center nearby, I had to travel 600 km to Bangalore. after reaching Banglore I visited the Jayanagara service center around 2:30 PM as there was a queue with a token I handed over my phone at 3:30 PM initially
At first, I assumed it was a boot issue that the service center would fix because I was worried about my data, but after checking the phone, they charged 236 INR. and informed me that the phone was dead and that I would need to pay 43,722INR to have a new motherboard installed. Is this joke ongoing? and they claimed to have opened my phone to see if there was a boot issue that needed to be addressed, even for IPX-rated phones. The guy provided me with a customer service number after I asked these questions, however they were unable to help with my problem. and told me to collect my phone back and they mentioned that i would get a call the next day, with no phone in hand just a laptop whatsapp I waited near the service center the next day for any solution but I didn't receive any call, at the end exhausted drenched and thought that is the Samsung mobile phone life is just 1.6 to 2years?? is it my mistake installing Samsung official update?? is the Samsung phones are not stable?? from company to service center doing the fraud to make money??? Does Samsung not respect their loyal customer' time and money??

I purchased the phone with the expectation that my data would be secure and that it would last for at least four years but am I wrong??

We have to stop buying Samsung products as Samsung won't respect there loyal customers.
