After my last update, I noticed a pink line on my phone display. There has been no physical damage, so it was very shocking to encounter an issue like this, especially after an update. I didn't expect this from Samsung, particularly from their flagship model. To be honest, I've always liked Samsung products—I'm actually a Samsung fan. But this pink line issue, appearing out of nowhere, has really shattered my trust.

When I approached the Samsung service center, they asked me to pay for the repair, even though it's clearly a problem on their end. Now, I feel foolish for recommending Samsung products to others. Samsung, I'm done with your unreliable products, and I will no longer recommend them to anyone. These days, I travel frequently to foreign countries, and I'm really worried about my phone letting me down in the middle of a trip. With everything being so accessible via phone, it's a significant concern.

Now I understand why so many people prefer using iPhones. I'm switching to the iPhone 16 Pro next month. To anyone reading this, please consider the reliability of your Samsung phone after two years and the quality of service they provide. Best of luck. Thank you, Samsung, for wasting my money on your unreliable product.1724228676281.jpg1724228676377.jpg1724228676442.jpg

You're welcome. iPhones break too. Nothing lasts forever. There may be some underlying issue with your device that caused the update to affect your display. A previous unauthorised repair maybe? It's unfortunate, but it's unfair to slate the whole product line on just your one bad experience. I genuinely wish you well with 🍎

@PUVIARASU07  The pink line tends to indicate a hardware issue, whilst some customer experience this by no means universal and many  devices have an extended life.   You may have already decided to try a competitor  (which lacks customisation to name one thing) however a few things you could try before seeking an inspection.   Check if errors apear in diagnostics, if not trying to see iof the issue appears in Safe Mode in case there is a conflict with a 3rd party app.   Wiping the cache partition and /or factory reset are other options.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

I think the OP approached a repair centre, but was put off because they wanted to charge for the repair.

Right from early days I have been using Samsung. I have changed many Samsung phones like E7 S8 S9 and now S 22 +. Yesterday while using the phone suddenly a red line  started to appear on the left side of the phone like a Margin. The phone was purchased in 2022 and used very appropriately  with a screen guard and a case. I am not sure about the cause of the problem whether it is related to hardware issue, display or software update. Can   Samsung come forward to give us explanation about the appearance of Red line in the screen. I love Samsung and I hope a company will stand up to our expectations

You can't really blame them though, look at this from their perspective, they were told to pay for an issue they didn't cause
