Hi everyone,
For the last two weeks, my S22 Ultra has been crashing at random times and keeps on restarting automatically. Yeah the S22 Ultra is the Exynos version. It happens when I try to open even Youtube. I have turned off the Auto restart setting as well. After going through the initial Samsung logo, it restarts for like 5 to 6 times (or even more sometimes), then the One UI apps optimizing opens up and the restart completes. But this crashing happens randomly. I tried clearing the cache memory, but that did not help. Finally, I did the factory reset. Still, the problem persists.
Has anybody got the same problem? Does anyone have a solution? Is my ultimate solution to visit Samsung Care Centre?
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Sudip

I expect the same but as my luck would have it, the samsung authorised service centre is quite near to where I live, so will give it a shot.

Will be visiting the service center soon. Thanks

The cost of replacing the mainboard is not worth it. I bought my s22u in March 2022. Warranty ended in March 2024. The phone went freezing and bootlooping after an update late August. So out of warranty you are better off getting a new phone.
I did the latter and bought a Google pixel. This s22u is a flop.

Hi all,
Finally having failed in all ways to get my phone to be usable, I took it to a Samsung authorised repair center.
As expected, they identified the issue to be in the motherboard and shared an estimate on India Rupees 42,000 (Approximately Usd 500).
After one week of sharing my grievance with Samsung and escalating to the India corporate team here, they have offered me a discount of 25% on the motherboard replacement.
In the mean time I have already purchased the Google pixel 9 pro (which is a refreshingly good phone till now).
Now I in two minds whether to repair the phone at Indian Rupees 32,000 (Approximately Usd 375) and use it as secondary, or get my phone back and sell it for scraps.
Will let you all once I decide and get my phone back.
Cheers.
Ps. Irrespective of my decision, staying away from Samsung products for the foreseeable future. Once bitten twice shy!!!

My s22 is lying like a brick. Offline, without logging in, it is stable. I bought a Motorola 85g for $200 and I'm enjoying the new phone. And Sumsung is sad and sad. Samsung failed. I do not plan to buy a new one.

Hey everyone!
I was having the same issues, I factory reset my phone and the problem persisted. I'm sure all of you decided it wasn't worth keeping the phone since everyone was saying to get the motherboard removed lol. I also understand it's nearly a year later so everyone probably switched to Apple by now. Anywho, for those still struggling...
I removed my sim card and I haven't had any issues since... I'll keep updating but my phone hasn't rebooted since and everything works like new. So, remove it and see what happens. This has been the most successful method for me so far.
Best of luck!!

My phone updated its software last week, and ever since, it's been plagued with performance issues. It crashed and restarted a few times before ending up in a bootloop yesterday. Before the update, everything was working perfectly. I attempted to access Safe Mode but had no success. I also reached out to Samsung chat support, but the representative was unhelpful and simply advised me to visit a service center. Unfortunately, the service center was equally unhelpful. I even let the battery drain completely, but now the phone vibrates repeatedly whenever I try to charge it.
Has anyone had any success booting into the OS without losing their data? Beyond the issue of planned obsolescence, I think Samsung needs to be held accountable for taking their customers' loyalty for granted. If car manufacturers can issue recalls, why not phone companies? I currently own four Samsung phones and a Samsung TV, but their customer support is worse than Google’s. I'm in Canada and if anyone is pursuing a class-action lawsuit, count me in.

My phone is in the same state (Samsung Galaxy s22)
It keeps restarting randomly for about 2 weeks. And today, I just can' t boot it anymore. It keeps restarting indefinitely after displaying the Samsung logo.
It's a shame. I can't even get my data back.
I'm in Canada too, you can count me in for the class-action lawsuit.
