Hi everyone,
For the last two weeks, my S22 Ultra has been crashing at random times and keeps on restarting automatically. Yeah the S22 Ultra is the Exynos version. It happens when I try to open even Youtube. I have turned off the Auto restart setting as well. After going through the initial Samsung logo, it restarts for like 5 to 6 times (or even more sometimes), then the One UI apps optimizing opens up and the restart completes. But this crashing happens randomly. I tried clearing the cache memory, but that did not help. Finally, I did the factory reset. Still, the problem persists.
Has anybody got the same problem? Does anyone have a solution? Is my ultimate solution to visit Samsung Care Centre?
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Sudip

After the last update (attached above) the phone's more or less bricked. Apart from the 5-6 bootloops per day, WhatsApp keep crashing, chats need to be restored so I loose chats from my last backup. Another problem that's started is that the phone crashes whenever I try clicking a photograph or opening the camera.
To summarize, the phone's unusable as a primary phone. I had a S20+ lying around so I am using that as a primary phone for now and using this as a secondary phone. Hope samsung gets its act together and fixes the mess they created with this update with future fixes.
If that doesn't happen, will trade this phone in for a Google pixel. Definitely not going for another samsung device.
Will update if there is any improvement.
Cheers.

Hi All,
Finally yesterday evening my phone went into a boot loop of about 4 hours. With no other choice I had to factory reset the device. But after the factory reset everytime I tried to log into my Google and samsung account to access my back ups it went into a boot loop again and I needed to perform another factory reset.
4 factory resets later I have given up logging into my Google or Samsung account. Essentially, now what I am left with is a telephone (or a feature phone at best) but with a catch, one time it even crashed and rebooted when I was trying to call someone.
At this state I don't think I can even trade it in for any value of worth. Switching it off for now, will check again in a week.
Cheers.

The irony of all this is that Samsung are aware of the problem...and what are they doing about it...zilch, zero, nada...if your device is in warranty then Ur good...I was informed that my warranty was out of date, was a few months later that I discovered I had two months left to run of the warranty.... totally pissed off at the support we Samsung users have not been provided with for flagship model phones ...I talk all my friends and family out of purchasing Sam's*it products.....never no more will I use Samsung....

Can everyone having this issue please please just report it to Samsung. If you are going to factory reset it anyways there's no harm in doing so.
There is an issue with your motherboard and it needs to be replaced. I had mine replaced and it has worked fine since and I now refuse to update my phone and its been fine. Send it to Samsung for repair. They will give you some waffle about it being outside of warranty but depending on which country you are in you should quote that the software update from Samsung caused the issue and therefore it is violating your consumer rights as the device is not functioning as intended, which was completely outside of your control. If they do not follow through ask to speak to a supervisor and threaten to take them to the financial ombudsmen.
Your phones are all broken because the latest update did something to the motherboard. get it repaired and it'll work again.

Been there , done that, spent ages with Samsung online support tech , who then booked an appointment to visit an approved Samsung tech repair shop (99 miles away from me up in Glasgow), had a 200 mile round trip at my expense and then the cost of parking at my expense , only to be told that it would cost me £50 for the tech to just look at my phone (and then whatever extra cost to have my phone repaired!).....I stated that the phone should still be under warranty, but the front shop techie said NO! it had expired...thank you EE.... I said no thanks and what a complete waste of my time and effort and the waste of a whole fecking day......Samsung need to address their faulty products (and this was last April 2024 update that caused all this headache.... my device does nothing but continually boot loop... totally unuseable........ 😞

you can get out of the loop by cooling the phone a bit (put on cold tile, metal or if you dare into freezer; these are like heatsinks, for some reason we have to get the temp very low for successful startup, it's not overheated at all, so probably some safety reason behind it) then try to override the loop by home button + volume down, I am able to get it out of the boot loop successfully and reduce those 30m+ boot loops just to a couple of minutes or less. Crash will happen but you can reduce it by power saving mode + updating all apps both gplay and samsung store (you can actually do those before logging in to any account, I know because I got boot-loop-ed the same way you did when tried to add. After everything is updated then you can try to add your acc). After these and god knows what I set already during try-outs I get relative stability, it will crash but might run for more than a day without a single crash.
