When your battery starts to show signs of deterioration you are supposed to turn battery protection feature off to start utilizing previously locked capacity.

Limiting battery charge up to 80-85% is not Samsung theory, this is commonly related to Lithium Ion batteries. This feature also can be found on the laptop battery or another phone like iPhone. To ensure battery health accurately after several years you can use a USB Power meter to check battery capacity by charging from 0% to 100%.
If after 4 years of usage and feel get three days from charge may be the battery quality is very good so just a little bit degrade

Yes I know, there is a bad idea to let the battery to 0%, I only suggest it only for checking purposes only. Yes maybe each people has a different experience, my point is limiting battery to 80-85%, not Samsung theory, the theory also common like letting battery under 15% is bad. And also my wife often let his phone at almost 0% but until now still fine. Because we don't know how big & when the battery will degrade and the accurate method we can check it using USB meter while charging.

There's AccuBattery app on Android and it did a good job at telling me the status and capacity of smartphone's battery that I used for over 3 years. I do have USB power meter though.

I'm not sure if it has that feature
But to see if it does, search for "protect battery" in settings

My trusty translator has advised that, @Red_Wan, has posted the following:
"Each time you charge, you will not receive 15% of the energy, but someday later you will be able to use what you saved: rolling_on_the_floor_laughing:
PS
As for me, this mode is relevant for those who often keep the phone on charge, for example, leave it overnight, or drive in a car with the phone connected to the on-board network. In these cases, the phone battery spends a lot of time with a constant charge of 100%, which actually corresponds to the fact that it is stored with a charge of 100%, which, as you know, is not very useful; the battery should be stored with a charge of around ~80%. If the phone does not remain connected to the charger for a long time, and immediately after charging it turns off and begins to be used, then there is little point in charging it to 85%."
