Phone App crashing after One UI 6 update

Subject says it all.

I can open the app. But the moment I try to make a call or receive a call, the apps goes on a crash loop. I cannot view the contact if who is calling me, i cannot hang up, and I cannot use the phone as the app keeps popping in front and crashing.

Resetting the phone is not an option as I have multiple MFAs configured and not easy to restore.

Anybody with the same problem or any solution for this issue?

I have already cleared the storage for the app, rebooted the phone multiple times and even tried on safe mode.

Keeps randomly crashing whilst browsing internet since update, good to see I'm not only one, hopefully this gets fixed soon.

This is a temporary fix: install the Google Phone app. The first time it opens make it the default phone app. Click on the blue icon on the bottom right to open the phone keyboard. The interface is a bit clunky, but at least it works. Don't use Samsung phone app until they send an update fixing it. And beware of all the so called "fixes" offered by people who may not have the phone crashing problem. Some of them can be destructive.

Is there an update to this?  My phone app is still crashing for both incoming and outgoing calls.

Yeah beware of all the people who were able to resolve the problem with minor troubleshooting. They might be in for scamming you to delete data. Great going!

Im up for the push. This is rediculous. I've recently had a major health scare and have doctors calling me nearly every day and if something were to happen to me, i can't even call 911.

Just got an update from Samsung/AT&T. The crashing phone app has been fixed on my phone. Thanks to the programmers for fixing the problem.

Apparently they came up with a patch that fixed the problem with the phone app crashing, blinking between white screen and app, etc. After the update I selected the Samsung phone app (red icon) and made it the default phone app. Then I gave it a try by calling my wife's phone. It worked perfectly.
